About the project
Polyverse is a two-year European Cooperation Project for artistic creation and circulation funded by
the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
Our goals
Enhance understanding of the role of music in promoting intercultural and interreligious values
1.
Establish a landmark in European intercultural dialogue through the creation of the first European Interreligious Choir
2.
Foster peace and mutual understanding by collaboratively creating an original interreligious musical composition
3.
Promote interreligious dialogue through the transnational dissemination of our musical composition
4.
Valorise and promote European religious and cultural heritage sites as well as cultivating community awareness and appreciation of cultural and religious diversity
5.
Our approach
1
Art and music as catalysts
for intercultural & interreligious dialogue
Our project places a significant emphasis on the transformative power of art and music. These mediums are not merely forms of entertainment but rather potent tools that have the capacity to transcend cultural and religious boundaries
2
Fostering intercultural collaboration through artistic creation
We provide a platform for artists and creators to collaborate across diverse cultural backgrounds, resulting in a tapestry of artistic expressions that reflect the richness of Europe’s various traditions.
3
Recognising the cultural & historical significance of religious heritage sites
We acknowledge the significance of historic places of worship as repositories of centuries-old traditions, stories, and artistry. Our goal is to bring these sites to life, allowing the public to connect with them through innovative approaches like podcasts and immersive experiences.
4
An interdisciplinary approach
Our project embraces an interdisciplinary approach with the engagement of a wide range stakeholders, including cultural heritage experts, music professionals, confessional organisations, and cultural and religious mediators.
